About Me
I am the mother of 5 elementary school age children. I have lived in Glendale since my oldest daughter was in 1st grade. She is now in 6th grade and my youngest will be entering kindergarten this year.
Education is very important to me and my family. I have a degree in Botany and am preparing to apply to medical school next year. My husband has recently finished his PhD and is pursuing a career as a college professor. We have homeschooled, "regular schooled", and my kids are now in a Spanish immersion program learning a 2nd language. So when I say education is important to us, I really mean it.
I am very aware of what can make school great, and what can make school not so great. I know that kids are different. What works for one child, won't necessarily work for another. A school district has the responsibilty to address the needs of all it's students, to make sure that none fall through the cracks.
